Giannelli is a 2023 graduate of Cortiva Institute, where she earned licenses in both massage therapy and esthetics. She blends her technical expertise with a deep passion for wellness, lifelong learning, and fostering connections within her community.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Management with an Engineering concentration and a Master of Science in Professional and Technical Communications, both earned at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). During her time at NJIT, she served as a Resident Assistant, was Treasurer on the executive board of the Society of Women Engineers, and worked as a Guidance Counselor.
Her career journey reflects her versatility and commitment to service. As a volunteer with the Susan G. Komen organization, she contributed to marketing efforts, served as a member of the support group, and participated on the grant review panel.
Gia’s passion for education led her to complete the Connecticut Department of Education’s Alternate Route to Certification program, qualifying her to teach Spanish in K-12 settings. She was also the Family Association Chair for her children’s Montessori preschool.
Eventually, she transitioned into the wellness industry, where she now owns and manages her massage and esthetics practice, actively supports AMTA initiatives, and manages the AMTA-CT chapter’s online presence as Social Media Chair. Her goal is to create engaging content that promotes AMTA’s mission and fosters a sense of connection within the massage therapy community.
Beyond her educational and professional accomplishments, Gia is a proud mother of two, an aspiring social dancer, and a travel enthusiast. She is a lifelong learner, always seeking opportunities to grow and make meaningful contributions to her community.
