2022 Distinguished Service Award – Cass Crewdson

The Chapter Distinguished Service Award is presented to an individual who has made a lasting impact on CT’s massage therapy community.

Cass has been a member for over 30 years.  On the chapter level Cass has been a volunteer serving as Delegate, Chapter President, Board Member, newsletter editor, NERC (New England Regional Conference) Board Member, Sports Massage Team member, Community Service Massage Team (CSMT) Member, CSMT-Emergency Division member, serving in NY at Ground Zero, and Awards Chair.  On the National level, this member has served on several committees and work groups.

She has been recognized as Chapter and National Humanitarian and Chapter Meritorious twice.

Outside of AMTA, she is also an active member of her church in many capacities including on the church council.

She was involved in the licensure set up in CT and one of the first license holders.  She has been involved as a volunteer on the chapter level since the beginning of her career. Just 4 years later, she started volunteering on the national level.  Her impact on the profession is apparent.  What has been stated here may seem like it is comprehensive, but this is only a small part of what Cass had done and been part of. Cass’s dedication to the profession and AMTA is evident.

Please join us in congratulating Cass Crewdson the CT Chapter’s Distinguished Service Recipient.
