Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) is an extremely common musculoskeletal condition that is related to upper crossed syndrome, likely the most common postural distortion pattern that exists. The great news for massage therapists is that TOS is extremely easy and effective to treat with massage and stretching, once the mechanics are understood. This workshop begins with a discussion of the fundamental pathomechanics of the four types of TOS. We then workshop how to assess it with orthopedic assessment testing as well as myofascial palpation.
This 4-hour, hands-on class takes place Thursday evening, 4/7. For complete information, visit www.amtactchapter.org/ct-conference.
