Nikki Arel has been selected by AMTA-National as National Meritorious for 2022. This honor is selected by a national committee that reviews nominations from the 51 AMTA Chapters.

In her 16 years as an AMTA member, Nikki has been a mentor, leader, educator and a team member of SMT and CSMT. As a chapter leader, she has volunteered as a delegate to represent the chapter membership at the Assembly of Delegates and served as a Chair for CSMT and currently as Government Relations Chair.

She is a yoga instructor and manages her own MT business. Nikki recently completed her studies for a Masters of Social Work. Nikki also travels part-time with The Wall That Heals under the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Fund.

The Connecticut Chapter Board and membership are fortunate to have Nikki as part of this chapter and are thankful of the time she donates to protect our profession in legislation that impacts us.
