Have you heard???
The Connecticut FMLA program begins enrolling on November 23, 2020.

If you have AT LEAST one employee, this is a requirement, and you need to understand your rules for compliance.

And did you know???
As a sole proprietor/self-employed business owner, you are ALSO eligible to enroll!

The required deduction for this is ½ of 1% of your (your employee’s) income. This will cover:

  • Birth of a child
  • Adoption/foster placement of a child
  • Care for a seriously ill family member
  • Your own illness
  • Serving as an organ or bone marrow donor
  • Domestic violence
  • Some military-related family issues

Enrollment begins November 23, 2020 and payments begin in January 2021.
You are eligible to begin utilizing the benefit a year later. There are some rules and regulations, of course.
