AMTA-Connecticut Conference and Chapter Meeting CANCELLED

Given the current information from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and our state health officials, and in consultation with the AMTA national office, your chapter board of directors has decided it is in the best interests of our members to cancel our Connecticut Conference and annual chapter meeting, originally scheduled for April 2-5, 2020. The Exhibit Hall, Volunteer Appreciation event, and headshots scheduled that weekend are also cancelled.

Your next continuing education opportunity is July 11, 2020, from Noon to 3:00pm. A three-hour class titled “Clarifying the Scope of Practice within the Massage Therapy Profession” with Scott Raymond, will follow our next chapter meeting, which will begin at 9:30am that same day.

In addition, we know this may impact your CE requirements for license renewal, if you renew during this public health emergency. We are working with the AMTA GR team and the CT DPH on this issue, and we will update you as information becomes available.

Please direct questions to ct.eventadmin@amtamassage.org.

Thank you for your support of AMTA and our Connecticut Conference. We hope to see you next year.
