Volunteer Management Coordinator
Rocky Perez is a 2006 Graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy School and owner of Hands At Work Center for Massage Therapy, LLC in Bristol, CT. He also works with the Brain Injury Association of Connecticut, Hole In The Wall Gang, and Change of Pace Experience. ESPN, Conning Financial and Sorenson Communications are a few other corporate places he provides table and chair massage.
Rocky is a member of the Sports Massage Team and Community Service Massage Team, Emergency Response Division with Leadership Training. He’s been a Coordinator for many events and for Emergency Response Disaster Events.
He is the 2008 recipient of the Sports Massage Team Member of the Year Award and the 2009 & 2018 President’s Award. He served as a Delegate in 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 and served as an Alternate Delegate for 2014. He also has received other awards throughout the Connecticut Chapter as well and has been an active volunteer member at the Connecticut Conferences for many years.
Rocky grew up in Oregon and as a high school cross-country runner was twice chosen by the International Sports Exchange Team to represent Oregon, first in China, then in Germany where he completed the 8 mile run in Munich’s Olympic Stadium. He served in the US Army for 8 years, and earned his Black Belt In Tae Kwon Do while stationed in Korea then ran a Tae Kwon Do business teaching self-defense classes for many years in Washington State.
Rocky has been married for 23 years and has 3 daughters and owns a home in Stafford Springs, CT. He believes “Success Tends to Favor the Well Prepared.” There’s no luck, we create our own luck by being present, committed and being a person of our word! The harder and smarter I work, the luckier I seem to get!
