PLEASE READ FOR INFORMATION ON A NEW STATUTE AFFECTING CONNECTICUT LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPISTS

A new statute passed by the state of Connecticut requires all licensed massage therapists (LMTs) to post a notice related to human trafficking. This statute goes into effect in October 2017.

The notice was developed by the Office of Victim Services and mandates that Connecticut LMTs post it “in plain view in a conspicuous location where labor and services are provided or performed, tickets are sold and other transactions, including sales, are to be carried out.” There will be a financial penalty for failure to comply.

Please refer to Public Act 17-31, An Act Concerning Human Trafficking (Section 5) for detailed information.

*Please print this notice and display it in the area where you book appointments and take payment as well as in your treatment rooms.*
