Daivd M. Lobenstein, LMT has been a licensed massage therapist in New York City since 2004. He has worked in a wide variety of settings and now, exclusively in his own private practice, Full Breath Massage. He also creates and teaches CE courses online and around the country at Body Brain Breath. His a a co-autor of the third edition of Pre- and Perinatal Massage Therapy, and a regular writer for Massage and Bodyworks magazine.
Class Description:
Massaging a pregnant person can be daunting. You need to know the essentials:
- What are the normal physiological and functional changes?
- How do I safely and comfortably support position on my therapy table?
- What kinds of adaptations to my usual techniques should I make to cause no harm?
- What are the signs of medical complications in pregnancy?
This course give you the HOW and the WHY of the basics of prenatal massage safety. This is your foundation for working with normal, low-risk pregnancies.
