Yes, it’s true.
The following statute was passed by the legislature, effective October 2017, requiring Massage Therapists to post an 8.5 x 11” notice regarding human trafficking. This notice must be posted in all areas where massage therapy is being performed, as well as areas where appointments are scheduled and payments are made.
Failure to comply could result in a $100 fine for the first offense and $250 fine for subsequent offenses with possible loss of license.
