Jodi Wolf – Jodi is a 30-year member of AMTA. In the 10 years that I have worked with Jodi, she is always willing to take on tasks, roll up her sleeves and dig in. During my 4 years as President, she has been a board member. She has been instrumental in the past year for recruiting a new board member, chair and online election coordinator. She stepped into the vacant secretary role from her board member position and has quickly owned the role.
Jodi is an educator and advocate for her students. She always goes the extra mile for them, exposing them to skills beyond the regular curriculum. For example, she takes her students to sports team events like Hartford Marathon, invites them to attend AMTA events and provides opportunities for them to do chair massage.
Thank you, Jodi for always being there and I know you will be a great support to our new President.
Please join me in congratulating Jodi as the 2024 recipient of the CT Chapter President’s Award.
Nikki Arel – Nikki is an 18-year member of AMTA. Nikki is a “powerhouse” and it has truly been an honor to work with her for the last 10 years. She always brings interesting perspectives to the board meetings and viewpoints that need to be considered.
She is an eloquent writer and speaker. Her skills make her the “perfect” government relations chair. Nikki often needed to guide me through legislative and department of health topics. We all had to get through COVID and the aftermath, sales tax legislation, virtual education hours, licensure changes, and many more issues.
Nikki also agreed to fill a vacant delegate position and for the last 2 years has been very active in that role advocating for the chapter and massage therapy.
Thank you, Nikki for always taking the time to give me the legislative 101 and for all you do for our veterans.
Please join me in congratulating Nikki as the 2024 recipient of the CT Chapter President’s Award.
